This edition of the full size prayer book is round-back hardcover bound in medium green cloth with gold-stamping. It has been beautifully printed in full-color, with many icons, gilded edges and three page-marker ribbons. It is printed on cream daolin paper for a thinner profile than the previous edition.

This English language text includes Morning Prayers, the Service of Vespers, Small Compline, the Salutations to the Theotokos, Small Paraklesis, Prayers Before Meals, the Paschal Hours, the Lesser Hours, the Midnight Office, the Service of Preparation for Holy Communion, the Prayers of Thanksgiving After Holy Communion, the Prayer of the Heart, Occasional Prayers, the Fasting Periods of the Church and a Paschalion through 2034.

It also includes two sections by St. Nikodemos of the Holy Mountain (translated by Rev. Fr. George Dokos): Prayers to our Lord Jesus Christ (written in the style of an Akathist) and Safeguard for the Soul (a thirty-day on spiritual watchfulness).

    Orthodox Christian Prayer Book - Full Size Edition

    While I have had the smaller version of this prayer book, this full size edition is an excellent copy for a desktop or prayer corner. The quality of this book is remarkable, and is in keeping with the high quality books that Newrome Press publishes. Three different colored ribbons for use as bookmarks are helpful to mark key locations of prayers or services. The excellent paper stock selection and gold edges of the book give appropriate honor to the gems of prayers and services contained inside. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to focus on daily prayer on their spiritual journey, for the comprehensive selection of prayers, as well as for the publication quality of the book itself.

    Wow!!

    Having this book feels like having something truly sacred. The gilded pages, the impeccable binding, the shimmering cover, the tastefully selected bookmark ribbons, the full color pages, the ICONS inside and the truly beautiful prayers make this book truly ethereal. So thankful to have found this book. Glory to God!

    Excellent

    As a new catechumen in the Orthodox Church, I have been searching for a prayer book to help me recite prayers throughout the day and this has been the perfect resource. Some of my favorites include the morning prayers, a parent's prayer for children, and a prayer for marriage. As with all New Rome Press books, the quality is outstanding. Most excellent prayer book.

    Orthodox Christian Prayer Book

    I like the second edition. Having a slimmer book makes it more portable. While I initially had concern that the opacity of the paper might be compromised, it wasn't. There is no ghosting and the paper is still of excellent quality.

    Incredible prayer book

    I'm getting so much value out of this beautiful prayer book. I love it so much, can't wait to purchase the pocket version.

    A beautiful, well-made volume

    This volume exceeded my high expectations. I can't do the prayers themselves justice, but the materials, typesetting, illustrations, and icons all intertwine with the prayers to make something truly special.

    Quality and variety.

    Excellent book for your devotional prayer, prayer rule, or for specific needs. I bought it because my last prayer book, by Ancient Faith, fell apart. Fortunately, New Rome Press puts care and quality into their products, with their stitched binding and cloth on board vernacular. While I’ve only had it for a few weeks, I can see it will last a lifetime.

    You can’t see it in the preview on the site, but the pages are gilded, and the interior of the cover is sealed with textured paper.

    The only complaint I have is that advertising "Full Size Edition" at the bottom of the cover takes away from the timeless aesthetic the book.
